Ulster Aviation Society Open Day 2011
Ulster Aviation Society open day held 11th June 2011 in the Maze Prison Regeneration Site
On Saturday 11th June the Ulster Aviation Society held an open day, where members of the public were able to visit and see all planes, models, memorabilia that the organisation has collected over the last 40+ years. The open day was held at the society's new location the Maze regeneration site formerly the location of the Maze prison. This was the second open day I have attended and I was very much looking forward to seeing the additions over the last couple of years and especially the Canberra.
Thankfully the weather stayed dry especially for the Helicopters on display outside and for the appearance of a Irish Coast Guard Helicopter and crew who also treated everyone to a winching demonstration before they departed.
