Easter 2011 - Donegal & North Coast
Easter 2011 - Photos from Glenveagh National Park, Ramelton & Poisoned Glen in Donegal and also Giants Causeway.
Over the Easter week I had the opportunity to stay in County Donegal Ireland for a few days and then travel home via the idyllic North Antrim Coast.
Glenveagh National Park is one of six national parks in Ireland. Situated in the Northwest of Co. Donegal- Further info can be found here on the park website - http://www.glenveaghnationalpark.ie/
Ramelton one of Irelands Heritage Towns situated in the Heart of Donegal - Further info can be found here - http://www.ramelton.net/
The Poisoned Glen is a glen at the head of Dunlewey Loch, County Donegal. There are many theories about its strange name in English but it is most likely a mis-translation from Irish.
The Giant's Causeway is a World Heritage Site consisting of interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic eruption. It is located in County Antrim on the northeast coast of Northern Ireland - http://www.giantscausewayofficialguide.com/
